Are Americans comfortable with Obesity going into 2010?

For quite a while I have been wondering if Americans have just gotten comfortable with being obese. Obesity affects all of us. If you are not obese then I'm sure that someone you love is. It could be your child, parent or maybe a sibling or a dear friend. The news, health reports, other countries and even our country, the United States have said that American Obesity is growing at an alarming rate. Whats bad is that Americans seem to just ignore these facts as if they don't even exist. The truth is we are seeing generation after generation of obesity in our families. While some people who are not obese continue to make fun of those who are instead of helping them by offering advice.
If simply being overweight was the only problem with obesity, then we would just have to lose weight. But the problem with obesity is that it causes so many other health issues. Your blood pressure is affected, breathing, metabolism and the amount of medication taken to help with other issues. These are just a few things that are determined with your weight for treatment.
Have you ever been some where and people are starring at you or making fun of you because of your weight? I would like to apologize to you for all of the people that were rude to you. Eventhough I am not obese, I have loved ones who are or were. This is why I have devoted so much time to writing about obesity. You see it's not a weight issue. It's a health issue.
