Limit fried foods!

Though fried foods can be tempting, it is best for us to stay away from them. Fried foods are full of fat and cholesterol. We can substitute fried food with baked food or grilled food. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits. Children seem to like the crispiness of fried food, so if you're cooking for them bake meats until they are brown and crunchy. You can eat fruits and vegetables all day without having to worry too much about calories. Be sure and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and keep your body flushed. Fried foods can lead to many other health issues such as:

  • Thyroid issues
  • Clogged arteries
  • Obesity
  • Heart disease
Another tip to follow is to replace hamburger with turkey burger. This way you are still getting protein, just without a lot of fat. If you have picky eaters you can cook the turkey burger without them seeing you take it out of the package. Most people don't notice the difference in the taste of the meat.
